The Indian team had been stuck in Barbados due to a hurricane, but they were flown out of the West Indies in a specially-arranged charter flight. The flight, named “Air India Champions 24 World Cup,” brought them back to New Delhi after a 16-hour non-stop journey. The meeting with PM Modi was a moment of pride and honor for the players.

Felicitation Function and Trophy Parade

Team India had a full schedule for the day. Following the reception by PM Modi, they participated in a BCCI felicitation function at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
